ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
General Statement of Duties :
Performs responsible administrative and secretarial work of a confidential, complex and varied nature assisting a department(s) in a Branch or the Branch Manager. Work requires the exercise of considerable initiative, independent judgment and discretion in planning, prioritizing and organizing a diversified workload.
Reporting Relationship :
Work is performed under the general direction of the Office Manager, a Department Head or the Branch Manager.

Education and Experience
Associates (AA) with 2 years or Bachelor’s (BA) Degree or equivalent experience (high school or GED with 4 years of experience) supplemented by course work including business office procedures, typing, secretarial and related subjects or any related combination of education and experience.
Advanced proficiency in the use of office equipment and the most recent release of MS Office and database software. Knowledge of operations, accounting procedures and administrative policies and procedures.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, office procedures, software manuals and governmental regulations. Ability to write correspondence, routine reports, procedure manuals and presentations conforming to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of professionals, project teams and clients.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret instructions in a variety of forms and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to arrive at effective solutions to problems independently.

While performing the duties of the position, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to sit and stand and frequently required to stoop or kneel. The employee must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities for the position include near and far vision.

While performing the duties of the job employees are exposed to normal office conditions. The employee must have the ability to work overtime as required.
