OSP Designer

Job Description

Selectek is seeking an experienced Fiber Designer to join their growing team. This role is responsible for designing overhead and underground fiber optic facilities using the latest fiber management systems. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate design records by installing, removing, modifying, and updating fiber facilities as needed. This position will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and customers to deliver and maintain reliable fiber optic services.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform detailed engineering tasks, including planning, designing, estimating labor and materials for fiber optic networks.
• Apply strong knowledge of outside plant (OSP) fiber optics systems.
• Interpret and apply company standards, engineering codes, and procedures.
• Utilize fiber design software and systems to track work activities, inventory, cost analysis, and documentation.
• Support emergency restoration for OSP fiber infrastructure, including storm damage, power failures, and other events.
• Create and maintain fiber splice diagrams , network layouts, and mapping system records.
• Design fiber layouts for subdivisions, MDUs (multi-dwelling units), and commercial properties .

Required Qualifications :

Pay Rate : $25.00-$35.00

Term : 6-month temp to perm
