Job Summary : Responsible for overseeing IS implementations, maintenance of applications, and assist with building / maintaining a reliable and efficient computing environment. In addition to their application responsibilities, they are also responsible for directing associates in the support of information system activities within St. Elizabeth Healthcare. Adopts evidence-based leadership practices to consistently deliver excellent care to patients and department customers; Promotes use of the JTE framework and standard work processes with validation to sustain reliable outcomes. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.
Job Description
Manages Operations for IT Applications :
- Assists with the design / implementation of efficient services
- Offers revenue enhancements
- Monitor expenses
- Benchmarks and encourage service excellence
- Provide effective communications
Associate Management :
Manages staff and subcontractors to ensure IT value is provided to the organization.The manager provides overall direction and guidance of resource allocation to ensure service delivery to the clients served.Performs tactical day-to-day management such as project scheduling, work plan tracking, and risk and issue management.Staff Development :
Oversee staff developmentEvaluate job performanceOffer constructive feedbackDiscipline as necessaryProvides on-going coaching to ensure activities are performed within department and St. Elizabeth policy.Resource Planning :
Manages daily responsibilities / projects of the staff within the teams, appropriately delegating duties as they fit within the team structure and knowledge base of the individual.Manages, prioritizes and delegates tasks and projects within the departmentBusiness Relationship :
Develop, promote and maintain professional relationships to ensure an environment conducive to customer service and high-quality patient care. Makes recommendations in areas related to resource sharing, contractual agreements, and functions as IT liaison across business lines.Budgeting / Planning :
Assists with the Creation, Implementation and control of designated operating and capital budgets including Daily / Weekly / Monthly reporting of financial management tools.Assists in the preparation, presentation, tracking and self-reporting all threshold capital business plansOther :
Performs other duties as assigned.Education, Credentials, Licenses :
Bachelor's degree in field related to Business, Computer Science, Informatics or Healthcare AdministrationOR In lieu of the degree, must have a minimum of 4 years previous management experienceSpecialized Knowledge :
Complex computing environments and the integration between environmentsStreamlining workflows- analysis and implementationStrategies for aligning strategic company goals to proper implementation of computing systems.Excellent collaboration and vendor management skills.Kind and Length of Experience :
Three years' experience working with application support or greater than 5 years in Healthcare industry as a user of enterprise data systems.Experience in leadership roles with the healthcare industry. i.e. committee chair / facilitator, team leader, established in a charge role etc.FLSA Status : Exempt
