Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing core accounting duties, supporting month-end close, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Experience in the healthcare industry is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries; maintain accuracy of the general ledger.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, prepaid accounts, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Review and analyze expense reports, vendor invoices, and supporting documentation.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, schedules, and reports for internal leadership and external auditors.
• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements and internal controls.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes with data entry and analysis.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative departments to ensure accurate financial information.
• Participate in process improvements to increase efficiency and automation.
