Job Title : Operations Manager Location : AIM- 14157 CJ Way, Noblesville, IN (Arena at Innovation Mile) Employer : Marquis Commercial Solutions Position Type : Full-Time; Salaried, Exempt. Starting Pay : $50,000 / year Shift : Variable shifts, including evenings and weekends; with a minimum of 40 hours per week Reports To : General Manager at AIM We're looking for a motivated problem-solver to join our team at Marquis as an Operations Manager. The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all janitorial operations at AIM, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Acting as a key partner to AIM's facility operations team, this role ensures all contractual obligations are met and exceeded. This position manages both the day and event janitorial teams, providing leadership, clear expectations, and ongoing support. The Operations Manager will play a hands-on role in onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management to maintain a well-coordinated and reliable team. Given the nature of event operations, this role requires flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, to ensure seamless support during all scheduled events. Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee and manage all cleaning operations at the client's facility, ensuring services meet contractual, quality, and safety standards
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific cleaning needs and proactively adjust services to meet expectations
  • Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with clients, staff, and management to foster strong partnerships and high satisfaction levels
  • Respond promptly and effectively to cleaning-related inquiries and complaints, resolving issues before, during, and after events
  • Utilize SmartInspect software to document inspections
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of cleaning schedules, tasks, and quality audits
  • Lead, schedule, and manage janitorial staff to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed on time and with consistent quality
  • Provide coaching, training, and ongoing feedback to staff on proper equipment use, cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and safety procedures
  • Manage weekly time and attendance records through Paylocity, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures and reinforce employee handbook policies
  • Foster a positive and safe work environment, adapting to changing priorities, policies, and procedures as needed
  • Conduct regular inspections to verify cleanliness standards, ensuring janitorial areas are organized and equipment is well maintained
  • Oversee event-related cleaning operations, including pre-event setup and post-event teardown, ensuring the venue is fully prepared and restored
  • Maintain proper inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies to ensure uninterrupted operations
  • Identify and report maintenance or safety issues promptly, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations Qualifications :
  • Experience :
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Facility Management, or related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in janitorial, facilities, or operations management; experience in event or venue settings is highly desirable
  • Proven experience leading and supervising teams, including scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Familiarity with facility cleaning procedures, safety regulations (OSHA), and proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Skills :
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
  • Ability to handle client inquiries and resolve issues professionally, maintaining positive relationships
  • Physical Requirements :
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a variety of environments, including indoors and outdoors (weather permitting)
  • Capable of using cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and floor scrubbers
  • Other Requirements :
  • Reliable transportation to and from the job site
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening (if required by the client)
  • Must be punctual, dependable, and maintain a positive attitude. Working Conditions :
  • Schedule : This position requires flexibility to ensure cleaning tasks are fulfilled for the building. This position has occasional variable shifts, including evenings and weekends. When there aren't events, the position is 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm, Monday through Friday.
  • Uniform : Company shirts and any required PPE (personal protective equipment) will be provided. Additional Marquis shirts / sweatshirts will be available for purchase at an additional cost.
  • Training : On-the-job training will be provided to ensure proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
