Welding Fabrication Specialist

IMMEDIATE job opportunity for a driven individual who has a proven track record of performance and desire to work for a well-established organization. We are looking for an experienced  Welding Fabrication Specialist  for a great service company located  in Costa Mesa, CA. Must have Casting Repair experience.

1st Shift (5 : 00 am - 1 : 30 pm).

Job Summary :

Under general supervision, performs precision hand welding using MIG, TIG, and ARC equipment; works to close tolerances and certifies work as requested; and performs related duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Operates Heliarc, ARC, and MIG welding machines in accordance with Fab Shop procedures and plant specifications.
• Follow blueprints, production drawings, production procedures, and instructions.
• Confers with various departmental representatives to verify engineering plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Performs hand burning and gas welding.
• Repairs welds and structural welds.
• Cleans shop and maintains work areas and equipment.
• Sets up, operates, and adjusts related production equipment, as needed, including hand brake, sheet metal shears, grinder, lathe, saw cutter, and hand tools.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :

Compensation :  $20.00 - $25.00  per hour
