About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Surgery - Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant for a 5-day locum tenens assignment in Arkansas. This opportunity begins on Dec 31, 2025, and features 24-hour call shifts, including in-OR hours from 7 AM to 12 PM. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of first assist experience, with a strong background in endoscopic vein harvesting and cardiac surgery, including CABG, valve, and great vessel cases.

Responsibilities and Duties
First assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including CABG, valve surgeries, and operations involving the great vesselsPerform endoscopic vein harvesting for cardiac casesProvide perioperative patient care under supervision of attending surgeonsParticipate in 24-hour call coverage as scheduledMaintain high standards of patient safety and quality in all clinical activitiesAdditional Information
Minimum 3 years of first assist experience required; Trauma center background is a plusEndoscopic vein harvesting experience is requiredAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration, and Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) credentials requiredMust be licensed to practice in ArkansasBenefits
