Responsibilities

Data Governance Strategy and Implementation :

• Establish and maintain data governance policies standards and procedures to ensure data quality integrity and security. This also includes adherence to other overseeing data directives from DoD.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of a data governance framework including data stewardship data quality management and data lifecycle management.
• The Data Governance Lead will work with the Chief Data Officer to understand the scope of OIG data assets at the domain level to understand full picture of what is being governed (e.g. legal finance human resources mission domain 1 mission domain 2 etc.) and communicate to the data governance framework to the business.
• Assist in defining and driving the data governance roadmap ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and objectives.

Qualifications

Relevant certifications such as Certified Data Governance Professional (CDGP) Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP) or similar are desirable but not mandatory.
