Model Coordinator

Overview

The Plumbing & Piping Detailing Department seeks a new team member to support our critical day-to-day activities. The Model Coordinator creates detailed drawings and plans for piping systems used in commercial, industrial, or residential construction projects. This role collaborates closely with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to ensure accurate, efficient, and code-compliant designs that support fabrication and installation.

What Youll Do

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings of piping systems using Revit software.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate shop and installation drawings.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to resolve design conflicts and ensure constructability.
• Generate bills of materials, spool sheets, and fabrication details for use in the shop and field.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical support during fabrication and installation.
• Revise drawings based on field changes, RFIs, or updated project requirements.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.

Pay : Final pay is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For California, this ranges from $125,000.00-$140,000.00 plus annual incentive, benefits and retirement program as outlined above.
