The Arizona Group is an Arizona-based Independent Insurance Agency and is seeking a detail-oriented Group Benefits Technical Assistant who resides in the Phoenix Metro Area who can provide exceptional technical and administrative support for our Group Life & Health (GLH) Team.
This is a full-time, on-site position for an Agency with less than 100 employees.

- Full Time - M-F 8 : 00am- 5 : 00pm
- Hourly $24.04 - $28.85 + Quarterly bonuses

Accountability : Group Benefits Technical Assistant
This position supports the Group Benefits Team by providing technical and administrative assistance, adhering to agency standards and procedures. The role involves collaboration with the Employee Benefits Manager, Account Managers, Account Executives, and front desk staff, as well as external partners such as the Outside General Agency and GLH Department vendors.
Skills / Requirements : Group Benefits Technical Assistant
High School Diploma or GED required.3+ years of administrative experience preferred, Group Benefits administration experience a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe, and agency management systems (Applied Systems EPIC preferred).Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish fluency desirable.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.Professionalism in appearance, communication, and interactions.Ability to work independently and collaboratively while embracing the TAG Culture.Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.Responsibilities : Group Benefits Technical Assistant
Maintain detailed records of client communications and actions in the Applied Systems EPIC platform, attaching relevant documentation (faxes, emails, etc.).Continuously update client records and close completed activities in EPIC.Follow up on requests, claims, and billing issues to ensure resolution.Request and monitor delivery of Insurance ID cards from carriers.Prepare requests for proposals (RFPs), employer proposals, and employee open enrollment materials.Support online enrollment platform buildouts and track new business opportunities.Maintain Group Benefits department supplies and assists with team projects.Provide phone support and proactively assist team members when needed.Perform other duties as assigned.Salary Description
