About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Financial Planning and Analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of management accounting, planning and analysis, valuation, and risk processes. This role is pivotal in providing financial and commercial advisory to the executive team, particularly in the areas of business decision-making, financing, and business development activities. The VP, FP&A will also be involved in maintaining and improving the company's valuation and risk evaluation processes, as well as leading the annual planning process and driving continuous improvement within the financial planning and analysis function.
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an MBA or equivalent degree being highly desirable. A CPA license is preferred. A minimum of 10 years' experience in mining or natural resources, with a strong background in financial planning and analysis, is required. The role demands a leader with proven skills in management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, and experience in developing and maintaining financial models, particularly for mining or natural resource companies. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, conflict management, and organizational skills, and a demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-performing teams. The position also requires the ability to think strategically, focus on corporate goals, and build strong relationships with cross-functional and operational partners.
