STATUS : Hourly / Non-Exempt
PAY RANGE : $21.00 - $24.00 Hourly
The base pay offered will consider internal equity and may vary based on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other factors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Production Coordinator oversees work groups to ensure the production of food kits and boxes in the Food Rescue Center (FRC), Sorting Room, and other Designated Production Rooms, as assigned. Maintain production by keeping order of all products and workers, ensuring safety and a productive working relationship among warehouse team and volunteers.
The candidate must have the drive and initiative to help identify and pursue new potential partners and be able to build a positive working relationship with staff, management / internal team, and external contacts.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Production and Reporting : Prepares / stages work area for workers assigned in Food Rescue Center (FRC) / Large Gleaning. Wraps up / breaks down the staging area once production is complete. Assures product, packaging, labels, equipment, and all other tools are ready for production to begin according to schedule by coordinating efforts with the supervisor. Coordinators are expected to function with hands-on approach. Ensure quality assurance throughout the production process. Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications, and address any quality-related issues that may arise. Perform tasks that may require physical exertion, such as lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods. Adapts to changes and responds to customer needs. Prepares and maintains various reports, such as production reports and inventory reports for the FRC & Food Bank hubs / locations.
Training, Compliance & Safety : Train and coordinate staff, volunteers, and program participants as assigned. Provides food safety and production-specific training to all workers, ensuring compliance with food and general safety requirements. Motivate and work efficiently with volunteers and program participants. Provides orientation and introduction to the groups in a consistent manner based on product and food kits in production. Identify and implement improvements to processes, such as streamlining workflows and reducing waste. Notifies Production Supervisor of any mechanical or material issues. Works closely with all Food Bank departments and supervisors. Advises of concerns regarding performance issues, food, or general safety concerns and documents accordingly. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working area.
QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to interact with diverse groups and prepare e-mails.
Good familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products and Google Mail
Must have previous work employment and experience in a warehouse environment
Ability to be flexible and open to change, consider alternate work styles to obtain desired outcome
Must be empathetic, understanding and personable with the ability to interact professionally with everyone from volunteers to upper-level management.
Fluent bilingual English / Spanish or third language communication abilities desired.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Regularly required to stand, reach, bend and move about the facility.
Must be able to safely operate a pallet jack.
Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40 lbs. regularly throughout shift.
