Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Design & FPGA Engineer to join our client's advanced engineering team in Santa Clara, CA . The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in FPGA development , hardware board design , and hands-on experience working with complex digital systems. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and validate FPGA-based solutions using VHDL / Verilog.
- Develop hardware schematics, board-level architectures, and system-level designs.
- Perform RTL coding, simulation, synthesis, timing analysis, and optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including ASIC, firmware, and validation engineers.
- Conduct board bring-up, debugging, and integration testing.
- Work with high-speed interfaces, communication protocols, and embedded systems.
- Document design requirements, technical specifications, and test plans.
- Support prototype builds, lab measurements, and hardware validation activities.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in Hardware Design and FPGA development .Strong knowledge of Verilog / VHDL , RTL design, and FPGA tools (Xilinx, Client / Altera, Lattice).Experience with schematic capture , PCB design tools, and board bring-up.Hands-on lab experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other instrumentation.Familiarity with high-speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, SERDES, etc.).Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SoC FPGA platforms.Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, and system-level design.Experience in embedded C / C++ or firmware development (plus).
