Actuarial Analyst - Personal Lines Auto (Remote)
Location : Remote
Compensation : $90,000 – $120,000 (based on experience)
Position Overview
Are you a data-driven actuarial professional with a passion for personal auto insurance? Our client is a growing, tech-forward insurance provider committed to delivering personalized auto insurance solutions and superior customer service. As they expand, they’re seeking an Actuarial Analyst to support pricing and reserving efforts for their Private Passenger Auto line of business.
You’ll play a critical role in forecasting, pricing, and evaluating reserve adequacy — helping shape product performance and profitability.
What You'll Do
Build and refine pricing models for personal auto insurance products
Prepare rate filings, actuarial memorandums, and regulatory documentation
Support quarterly and annual reserve studies and liability reviews
Analyze loss trends and premium development to inform strategic business decisions
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, underwriting, and claims teams
Leverage data insights to drive profitability and business performance
What Makes You a Great Fit
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
3+ years of actuarial experience in personal auto insurance
Completed 1–3 actuarial exams (working toward ACAS or FCAS preferred)
Strong proficiency in Excel and familiarity with :
SQL, R, Python, or actuarial modeling software
Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and data interpretation skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
