Occupational Therapist-Hand Therapist (Non CHT)

Overview

Position : Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist

Location : 2301 south MO 291 Highway Independence, MO 64057

Schedule : Monday-Friday hours between 7am-6pm

Compensation : $70,000-$90,000 depending on experience

Incentives : Up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus and / or $350 per month in uncapped student debt relief

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist for our outpatient orthopedic center! Although a certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, we are willing to consider occupational therapists with a level II fieldwork in hands (required). We have a network of hand therapists and CHTs available for support and are excited to mentor occupational therapists aspiring to be a CHT.

Responsibilities

Collaboration : Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.

High Standard of Care : Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB,clinician expertise, patient perception).

Personalized Treatment : Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.

Relationship-Building : Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy

CPR certification

Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications :

At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic

Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred
