Payment Poster (Epic Required)

Our client is a large, well-established healthcare organization with a high-volume central business office environment. They are looking for experienced payment posters to join their team for a special project clean-up. This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with a leading healthcare system while working alongside a professional, fast-paced team.

Job Description

The payment poster will be responsible for accurately posting insurance payments in EPIC and maintaining organized records using Excel. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work independently after initial onboarding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately post insurance payments into EPIC.
  • Reconcile posted payments against daily deposits and remittance advice.
  • Review and update patient account information to ensure accuracy.
  • Organize and sort payment data using Excel (filtering, sorting, etc.).
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Required : 2+ years of experience posting insurance payments.
  • Required : Experience with EPIC payment posting.
  • Proficient in Excel (filters, sorting, basic formulas).
  • Ability to work independently without micromanagement.
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Additional Details

  • Schedule : Flexible MF, 7 : 00AM4 : 00PM or 8 : 00AM5 : 00PM.
  • Location : Onsite in Houston for first 2 weeks, then fully remote.
  • Contract duration : 90 days.
