Jefferson College is hiring : Student Worker - Library in Hillsboro

Student workers in the library are responsible for shelving library materials according to the Library of Congress classification system. This position is also responsible for cleaning computer work stations on a daily basis, processing new materials and making student IDs. Student workers use library software for circulation duties : the library’s integrated library system, article and book databases; statistical tracking software; and Microsoft Word and Excel programs. Student workers will also be responsible for helping to clean / disinfect library furniture and for helping to enforce policies. Other projects may also be assigned.

Qualifications

A successful candidate will possess the ability to learn quickly and be self-motivated. Attention to detail and a sense of self-direction are necessary. Discretion and a commitment to patron privacy are a must. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to provide excellent public service to the college.
