The McEachin Lab at Emory University is seeking a motivated and creative Postdoctoral Fellow to investigate the molecular mechanisms driving neurodegeneration in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Our research focuses on RNA dysregulation splicing alterations and pathogenic changes underlying C9orf72-associated ALS / FTD with the goal of identifying therapeutic strategies to mitigate neurodegeneration (McEachin et al. Neuron 2020; McEachin et al. Cell 2025).
The successful candidate will design and conduct experiments analyze and interpret data and develop independent research directions within the scope of the labs mission. The fellow will receive advanced training in molecular neurobiology transcriptomics and therapeutic development with an emphasis on building the skills and research independence necessary for a successful academic career.

This is a full-time temporary training position intended to provide postdoctoral research experience and career development in a collaborative and supportive research environment.
