Grounds Keeper

Job Position

This position will be responsible for performing skilled gardening work and maintaining exterior hardscapes with minimal direct supervision to keep properties clean, safe, and attractive. In an assigned area of up to 10 acres, under general supervision, function independently and be held accountable for overall management and work performed. Coordinate and collaborate with other team members on larger projects. Work is performed year-round, outdoors, in all types of weather at the main campus of Seattle Children's Hospital and at various clinical and non-clinical sites as assigned.

Skills and requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent experience. A minimum of two (2) years of practical groundskeeping or landscaping experience in a public or institutional environment. Work experience weeding, grooming, planting, and transplanting, and using hand pruners, weeding tools, loppers, hedge shears, hand saws, basic carpentry tools, backpack blower, mower, and string trimmer. Work experience pruning a variety of different types and species of woody plants. Experience with heavy equipment like skid steer Irrigation Experience
