Job Description :
Essential Functions :
- Receive and analyze materials following all supplied detailed instructions and procedures.
- Make observations and interpret findings.
- Design and execute laboratory testing according to in-house procedures, Quality processes, and industry standards such as ASTM, ICP, and ISO.
- Work with technicians and engineers to supply programs accurate results and recommendations.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment and assist in ordering supplies
- Follow all safety guidelines.
- Ability to plan and work on multiple projects at one time delivering results to required schedules.
Education and Experience :
Requires practical knowledge of Materials and Process Engineering lab or similar background.Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experienceMust- Haves (Hard Skills) :
Able to analyze and interpret the data.Experience working in a hands-on laboratory environment involving hazardous chemicals and conditions.Practical knowledge of Materials and Process Engineering lab or similar background. (2-6 years).Familiar with Quality processes, and industry standards such as ASTM, ICP, and ISONice-To- Haves (Hard Skills) :
Experience working with, evaluation, testing, and analysis of metallic, polymer, and composite materials used in Aerospace and Defense programs.Must- Haves (Soft Skills) :
Ability to multi-task.Organize / prioritize work schedule and tasks.Able to work independently, but also needs to be a good communicator and work with a team.
