Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Operator to join our team in a dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and have the ability to operate various machinery including band saws and forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate band saws to cut steel and other materials according to work order specifications.
• Operate sit-down forklifts to transport materials within the facility.
• Read and interpret tape measures accurately for precise cuts.
• Perform visual quality control checks to ensure product standards are met.
• Apply metal to customer orders and process material accurately.
• Maintain processing equipment in a clean and safe condition.
• Ensure the processing area is clean, safe, and orderly.
• Accurately complete all required information entry.
• Participate in classroom training during the first week and work with an experienced trainer until proficient.

Work Environment

The work environment is a large raw material supplier facility where materials are stored, cut, and shipped to customers. It is a fast-paced setting with over 60 employees on the floor. The facility is located in Auburn, WA, and offers shifts including a 2nd shift from 2 : 30 pm to 1 am, Monday through Thursday, and a 3rd shift from 4 am to 4 : 30 pm, Friday through Sunday. Shift differentials are available for full-time employees, with 2nd shift receiving an additional $1 per hour and 3rd shift paid as 36 hours equal to 40 hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.25 - $24.25 / hr.
