Test Technician

Plano, TX - Hourly Range 20-25 (6 am-3 pm)

Job Brief

The Test Technician is responsible for testing faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test equipment / software, and applying knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems. You will maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair of systems, components, and other products, using established procedures.
• Set up and configure test fixtures, mechanical and / or electrical controls, cabling, power sources, and measuring instruments.
• Conduct and log routine preventative maintenance of test fixtures and equipment.
• Maintain equipment logs that record performance, problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests.
• Setup and test industrial equipment to ensure that it functions properly.
• Evaluate message listings and digital content for appropriate formatting for each product type.
• Inspect components of equipment for accurate assembly and installation or for defects, such as loose connections or frayed wires.
• Compile and submit required repair reports, and work timesheets.
• Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
