RN / LPN

Act as Charge Nurse as required. Perform diversified nursing duties to provide and maintain quality of life under the direction of the Registered Nurse and / or the Director of Nursing. Provide direct nursing care to residents through various methods within a defined scope of practice. Work under the supervision and in collaboration with the Director of Nursing.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :

• Current State of Missouri licensure as a RN / LPN.
• Ongoing continuing education as required to maintain licensure.
• Skilled nursing experience in a licensed and certified facility is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

Physical requirements of this job include routine bending, lifting in excess of 50 pounds, positioning of residents on the nursing unit, and pushing equipment. When functioning in a Charge Nurse position, physical requirements include standing or walking for prolonged periods of time. Other physical criteria include the ability to make quick effective physical responses to nursing home emergencies including (but not limited to) falls and emergency evacuation; the ability to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position; the ability to function independently; the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel and support agencies : and the ability to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facility. Exposure to blood and body fluids is likely.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES :

WORK HOURS : Friday and Saturdays Nights-11pm-7 : 30pm
