The Montclair Cooperative School seeks a caring, organized, and energetic After School Program Coordinator to oversee our daily after-care program for students in PreK through 8th grade. The coordinator is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for students during after-school hours and supervising program staff. The hours are 3 : 00 p.m.-6 : 00 p.m. Monday-Friday, beginning on September 1, 2025.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise students from dismissal at 3 : 15 PM until parent pick-up at 6 : 00 PM
- Ensure student safety and well-being at all times
- Design and implement engaging activities (e.g., crafts, games, homework help) appropriate for a range of ages
- Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure proper sign-in / sign-out procedures
- Manage and supervise any additional after-care staff or volunteers
- Communicate professionally and warmly with parents and school staff
- Ensure that program spaces are clean, organized, and secure at the end of each day
- Follow all school health, safety, and emergency protocols
- Order and maintain necessary supplies within budget
