Job Description :

Pay Range : $75hr - $80hr

Requirement / Must Have :

  • Backend and cloud development experience within connected vehicle or embedded systems.
  • Cloud and API integration expertise.
  • Strong experience with RESTful and / or GraphQL APIs.
  • Knowledge of authentication methods such as OAuth 2.0 and JWT.
  • Familiarity with data formats including JSON and protobuf.
  • Experience with third-party SDKs and API lifecycle management.
  • Understanding of cloud-to-vehicle communication patterns such as MQTT, WebSocket, and HTTP / HTTPS.
  • Understanding of vehicle-cloud security, certificates, and OTA mechanisms.

Experience :

  • Experience integrating cloud and vehicle systems.
  • Experience developing with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

    • Responsibilities :

  • Develop cloud-based third-party integrations and leverage the applets framework to represent third-party functionalities in the vehicle.
  • Integrate external cloud APIs such as music, weather, navigation, and payment services.
  • Bridge cloud backends with in-vehicle applets.
  • Handle data synchronization, authentication, and OTA-related tasks as needed.
  • Build Android services, apps, or applets that integrate cloud APIs.
  • Implement data flow between cloud services and Android Automotive components such as CarService, HMI, and Vehicle HAL.
  • Contribute to in-vehicle frameworks or SDKs that enable safe integration of new cloud-based features.

    • Should Have :

  • Experience with Android Automotive Companion Apps.
  • Knowledge of CarPlay or Android Auto integration boundaries.
  • Experience building headless Android services for background sync or event handling.
  • Familiarity with Google Automotive Services certification requirements.

    • Skills :

  • C++ for applet framework development.
  • Python, Go, or Node.js for cloud services or integration scripts.
  • Java or Kotlin for Android Automotive components.
  • Familiarity with AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, or Google Cloud IoT.
  • Experience integrating with third-party cloud services such as voice assistants, music providers, or weather APIs.
  • Understanding of API design and OpenAPI / Swagger specifications.
  • Knowledge of data synchronization, state management, and offline handling.
  • Optional : Firebase, AWS, or Azure experience for connected services.

    • Qualification And Education :

  • Relevant experience in cloud development, Android Automotive, or connected vehicle systems, or equivalent technical background.
