Care Giver Responsibilities :

Provides direct care service and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Assisting individuals with personal hygiene, mealtime assistance, dental care, medical monitoring, and household chores.

Modeling appropriate social behavior and positive use of free time with recreational activity, both in the home and community.

Redirecting behaviors as needed.

Promoting and ensuring a safe environment for consumers.

This position requires the ability to work autonomously and with little to no direct supervision.

Employee must feel comfortable working with clients one-on-one and handling any associated behaviors.

Required Qualifications for a Direct Support Professional :

• Level one Fingerprint Clearance Card
• CPR / First aid
• Article 9
• Prevention and Support
• DCW L1 training
• Habilitation 101 & 102 training
