Systems Engineer

As part of our strategic initiative to optimize infrastructure costs and performance, we are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to help support the migration from VMware to Microsoft Hyper-V.

• The expectation is for this resource to be on-site a few times a months otherwise they can sit remotely.

Role Overview

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, and validating the migration of virtualized environments from VMware to Hyper-V. This role requires deep technical expertise in virtualization platforms, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across IT and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement a comprehensive migration strategy from VMware to Hyper-V.

Assess current VMware infrastructure and identify dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans.

Configure and optimize Hyper-V environments for performance, scalability, and security.

Ensure minimal downtime and data integrity during migration.

Collaborate with network, storage, and application teams to ensure seamless integration.

Document processes, configurations, and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Monitor and troubleshoot post-migration performance issues.

• Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00 / hr.
