Home Health Aide

Our busy home health agency is rapidly growing and we’re seeking an experienced home health aide to assist us in providing superior in-home health care to our clients. Our ideal candidate will have excellent organization and communication skills, and 1-3 years of experience working as an HHA or caregiver. You’ll assist our patients with companionship, basic medical care, light housekeeping duties, personal care, and hygiene tasks so that they are empowered to live happily at home. • Ambulate patients as indicated in the care plan, and help patients complete exercises and physical therapy as needed
• Execute basic medical tasks such as replacing bandages and dressings, taking vital signs, measuring glucose and ketone levels, and ensuring the proper use of medical devices
• Mitigate issues with medications by helping to open bottles, organizing self-administered dosing, and arranging for refills, and help the patient with meal preparation and planning
• Reinforce accurate and up-to-date care records and work with the case manager to implement the patient care plan
• Assist patients in completing personal hygiene tasks like bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, shaving, etc.
• Sustain quality companionship and provide psychological and emotional support for patients and their family members Qualifications :
• First aid training and current CPR certification is needed and you must be able to pass a drug test, full employment background check, and physical
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are valuable, as is a compassionate, empathetic, and kind personality
• Conclusion of home health aide training programs from community colleges are acceptable - Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) is a bonus
• 1-3 years of experience as an HHA / home health aide, personal caregiver, nursing assistant, or personal care aid for a home health agency, at patient homes or care facilities settings is needed
• A valid state driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance is required Compensation : $25 - $30 hourly
