Leica Biosystems is a global leader in cancer diagnostics, committed to advancing diagnostic confidence and improving lives. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will provide strategic direction for Leica Biosystems and lead the global Finance and Information Technology (IT) functions. As a key member of the Operating Company leadership team, the CFO will help define and execute the overall business strategy, ensuring alignment with long-term growth and operational goals.
This executive will be responsible for financial planning, accounting, statutory compliance, and reporting, as well as overseeing the deployment and optimization of IT tools and resources across the organization. The CFO will serve as a critical business partner to the President, with a primary focus on enabling and accelerating profitable growth.
The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in financial oversight across diverse global business areas, including commercial operations, manufacturing and supply chain, product development and R&D, and corporate reporting. They must be adept at leading within the Danaher Business System (DBS), driving process improvements across geographies and functions.
Additionally, the CFO will be expected to evaluate and evolve the global Finance and IT functions to ensure they operate efficiently, cost-competitively, and with the highest standards of integrity and service quality. A key priority will be strengthening organizational capability by attracting, developing, and retaining top talent across both functions, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA and / or CPA preferred. 20+ years of progressive financial leadership experience in global, complex organizations. Proven success in leading finance across commercial, manufacturing, R&D, and corporate functions. Experience managing large, geographically dispersed teams. Deep understanding of US GAAP, ERP systems, and financial controls. Demonstrated ability to drive profitable growth and operational transformation. Strong interpersonal and executive communication skills. Life Sciences, Diagnostics, or Healthcare industry experience highly desirable.

The salary range for this role is $217,200.00 to $325,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus / incentive pay.
