Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Aide to join our dynamic healthcare team in Clackamas, OR. As a Physical Therapy Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting licensed physical therapists while ensuring exceptional patient care and maintaining an efficient therapy environment.
- Assist physical therapists during treatment sessions and therapeutic exercises
- Safely transport and transfer patients to and from treatment areas
- Prepare, sanitize, and maintain treatment areas and equipment
- Schedule patient appointments and manage electronic health records
- Monitor and maintain therapy supply inventory
- Perform administrative tasks including answering phones and managing documentation
- Support therapists in patient education and exercise demonstration
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control procedures
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient care delivery
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent requiredCurrent CPR and First Aid certificationsProficiency in patient transfer techniques and safety protocolsWorking knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy / physiologyExperience with electronic health records systems preferredStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication abilitiesPhysical stamina to assist patients and handle therapy equipmentDemonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentPrevious healthcare experience preferred but not requiredUnderstanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirementsAbility to work collaboratively within a healthcare teamProfessional demeanor and commitment to patient careAdditional Information
Salary information : $16.00 - $18.00 an hour
