Campus Recruiting & People Engagement Coordinator

Equity Methods is looking for a welcoming, energetic, and detail-oriented Campus Recruiting & People Engagement Coordinator. The goal of this position is to act as Equity Methods' brand ambassador to students and university contacts to showcase company culture, build relationships, and attract top talent for our consulting teams. Similarly, this position works as an internal ambassador to our employees, supporting a tight-knit and collaborative environment with engaging internal events and training programs.

With rapid growth, we are expanding our recruiting initiatives and running many internal events. Our Campus Recruiting & People Engagement Coordinator will be a welcoming, proactive, and organized professional who is able to execute in a fast-paced environment. You'll work on a friendly, motivated, and highly effective team that values collaboration and celebrates wins.

Please note that this position does require availability for short 1-3 day trips multiple times during the year, particularly in the early Spring and Fall. Additional brief trips may occur at other times of the year.

Roles and Responsibilities

This is a lead execution role across several domains, in particular, campus recruitment and internal activities. Operations team members hold different specializations, but load balance and rotate work based on seasonality and emerging priorities.

This position requires availability for short overnight trips multiple times during the year.

1. Campus Recruiting Coordination and Promotion

Works with our hiring managers and campus contacts to coordinate successful campus recruiting initiatives and ensure a positive, high-touch experience for all parties.

  • Outreach & Engagement :
  • Communicate with university staff and students to showcase the EM brand and attract potential candidates. Act as the central point of contact for university relationships.
  • Connect with clubs, campus recruiting contacts, and more to facilitate consultant-to-faculty relations and student touchpoints such as coffee, lunch, bowling, pizza night, etc. Explore networking opportunities where we can connect with local talent in our field.
  • Maintain a contact list of promising students, nurture relationships, and plan timely reach-outs to stay connected.
  • Track and update university contact lists according to company practices. Harvest potential new contacts from various sources, including recent hires.
  • Facilitate and attend on-campus and virtual career events (some travel required during peak recruitment periods). Host and co-host information sessions, perform on-campus interviews, participate in career fairs, and lead recruiting webcasts.
  • Review resumes and applications and conduct initial phone calls and / or screening interviews for select campus candidates.
  • Internal Team Coordination :
  • Provide oversight and guidance to university owners, plan recruiting trips, organize and lead semester kickoffs, train new campus owners on how to engage effectively with students, faculty, and career services professionals.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team on opportunities and elements needed to successfully promote the Equity Methods brand across campus recruiting platforms.
  • Help facilitate new hire onboarding training, working with IT, consulting trainers, and onsite support team members.
  • Strategy & Content Development :
  • Work closely with hiring managers to ensure timing and details align with program goals.
  • Actively review outcomes from current target universities and explore relationships with new potential targets.
  • Develop novel, creative, and impactful content for information sessions, case studies, workshops, and more.
  • Evaluate and provide enhancements to processes as business needs evolve.
  • Logistics & ATS Management :
  • Utilize exemplary research and vetting skills in researching and coordinating recruiting event logistics (venue selection, catering, inventory & shipping, etc).
  • Competently work within the ATS (applicant tracking software) to ensure job postings are managed and refreshed both on our Career page and other third-party job boards, back-end functionality is maintained, and changes are updated appropriately.
  • Track key candidates in the ATS and schedule interviews and touchpoints as needed while collaborating with the scheduling team.
  • Ensure Handshake and similar university job boards are updated; interview rooms are booked; and other critical, campus-specific details are well managed.
  • Schedule flights and hotels for out-of-state candidates being flown in as needed.

May work on non-campus talent acquisition projects and coordination as needed.

2. Internal Event Preparation and Execution

We host numerous internal events covering culture / teambuilding, training offsites, and recruiting externships. Each event needs to create a welcoming and professional environment and show thoughtfulness and high attention to detail in planning.

  • Event Planning :
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and Operations teammates to understand individual event goals and develop appropriate programs that are engaging, safe, and budget-friendly.
  • Communicate proactively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Employ creativity to add "zhuzh" to events while achieving event objectives.
  • Utilize exemplary research and vetting skills in researching and coordinating event logistics (venue selection, catering, inventory & shipping, etc).
  • Exercise flexibility, speed, and good judgment in response to changing circumstances and business priorities.
  • Project manage across a portfolio of event deadlines without compromising attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Employee Engagement :
  • Promote a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all employees by building relationships, inviting people to attend various Equity Methods happenings, greeting people, and helping them form connections across teams.
  • Be an exceptional host. Encourage attendance, welcome guests by name, and circulate to grease the social wheels and ensure that participants are enjoying themselves.
  • Onsite Support :
  • Set up and teardown materials for internal events.
  • Oversee event happenings and act quickly to prevent and resolve problems in real-time.
  • Collaborate and provide direction to internal staff supporting various events.
  • Feedback & Risk Management :
  • Anticipate potential speed bumps and actively work to mitigate them.
  • Evaluate event success, collect feedback from stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in the function.
  • 3. Operational Support and Coordination

    Works with Operations and Marketing management and other team members to help drive initiatives forward and support their ongoing efficiency.

  • Track and nudge progress forward on open initiatives.
  • Work with teammates on community relations and charity initiatives.
  • Support gifting and holiday initiatives.
  • Work with vendors and our Operations team as needed to keep our premises in peak condition.
  • Coordinate on the ground logistics and pre-travel arrangements for various travel teams across marketing, recruiting, and other initiatives.
  • Other ad hoc projects.
  • Competencies

  • Superb interpersonal skills, able to build connections and successful relationships with external and internal contacts, and provide a warm, welcoming experience at each interaction.
  • Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail; fast without sacrificing precision and accuracy; proactive without being rigid.
  • Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills are required. Good skills with a cell phone camera are a huge plus.
  • Able to communicate succinctly and adapt to different working styles and communication protocols (the position serves busy executives with varying operating styles).
  • Demonstrates competence in working with numbers and spreadsheets, working within budgets, interpreting maps and directions, and using basic software tools.
