SCOPE :

As an IT Data Engineer at UAIC, you will help design and build modern, efficient, and scalable data integration processes across multiple systems. You’ll work on consolidating ETL pipelines into a unified technology stack and support downstream data analysis, reporting, and machine learning initiatives across departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Design and implement ETL / ELT pipelines to ingest data from various sources such as SQL Server, CSV files, AS400 / DB2 systems.
• Consolidate and modernize data workflows using Azure Data Factory and / or other cloud-native tools.
• Support the creation of a centralized data lake environment for enterprise-wide analytics.
• Automate and optimize data extraction, transformation, and loading processes to improve scalability, reliability, and transparency.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support data requirements for reporting and dashboard development using Tableau / Power BI
• Perform validation checks, exception handling, and monitoring for data integrity and process health.
• Maintain technical documentation for data flows, integration specs, and design patterns.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to understand data needs and support a broader analytics strategy.
