Restoration Estimator

Job summary :

The Restoration Estimator is responsible for assessing damage to residential and commercial properties and preparing detailed, accurate, and timely estimates for restoration projects. This role is vital for securing new projects and coordinating with property owners, insurance adjusters, and the project management team to ensure a smooth and successful restoration process.

Key responsibilities :

• Damage assessment :  Conduct thorough on-site inspections of properties affected by fire, water, storm, or mold damage to determine the extent of the loss. Document all damages through notes, measurements, and photographs.
• Estimate creation :  Utilize industry-standard estimating software, such as Xactimate or Symbility, to create comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for repairs and reconstruction.
• Insurance coordination :  Serve as the main point of contact for insurance adjusters, negotiating the scope of work and pricing to ensure fair and comprehensive coverage for the client.
• Client communication :  Act as a liaison with property owners, clearly explaining the restoration process, timelines, and estimate details in an accessible manner.
• Project collaboration :  Work closely with project managers and subcontractors to ensure a seamless transition from estimation to project execution. Address any issues that arise during the project and prepare change orders or supplements as needed.
• Compliance :  Verify that all estimates and work scopes adhere to GHRN SLA guidelines.
• Records management :  Maintain organized and detailed records of all estimates, project documentation, and client communications.
