Fairview Hospital's Progressive Coronary Care Unit (PK II) is a telemetry unit focused on providing excellent, high-quality care to cardiac patients. Caregivers in this unit are highly engaged and maintain a wide knowledge base with a special emphasis on cardiothoracic surgery, dysrhythmia management, telemetry monitoring, and heart failure. As a Health Unit Coordinator on this floor, your daily responsibilities will include performing various administrative and clerical tasks to support the organization and flow of the department. A caregiver in this role works evenings from 3 : 00 p.m. - 11 : 30 a.m. with rotating weekend and holiday requirements. A caregiver who excels in this role will :

• Conduct an in-person greeting, welcome and orientation to the unit for newly admitted and transferred patients.
• Respond to patient call lights and make rounds.
• Assist with processing patient admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Assist patients and families with wayfinding and directing them to available resources.
• Assemble and maintain patient medical records and other documents related to patient care.
• Handle various computer tasks, such as updating schedules and managing patient information.
• Assist with unit clerical functions and in trouble-shooting equipment failures, such as call system, portable phones, WOWs and other unit devices.

Pay Range Minimum hourly : $18.25 Maximum hourly : $24.95 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
