Career Team is excited to bring on a RESEA Specialist who will perform professional work providing career counseling, intensive case management, and follow-up services to participants referred to us through the Reemployment Services & Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) Program. RESEA participants are referred if they are receiving unemployment benefits. You will support RESEA participants as they seek employment, training, or education in order to become financially stable and employed.
Your Impact On Career Team's Success :
- Provide case management services to RESEA participants who are selected to participate
- Lead RESEA Workshops and Orientations for participants that introduce them to programs and resources available to them, while also cover topics such as resume building, interviewing, etc
- Report participant non-compliance or eligibility issues to the UI State entities
- Enter data into Work In Texas and any participant information system as required, and any other database as required by the One-Stop system
- Guide jobseekers through the preparation of individual employment plans (IEP) based on their specific occupational goals
- Counsel clients on available job opportunities, training programs, and other services
- Refer individuals to appropriate services, training programs, or job opportunities and follow-up on those activities
- Follow all policies, procedures, and regulations related to eligibility documentation; ensure that case files have originals and / or copies of eligibility documentation
- Maintain accurate individual case files for each registered customer assuring that each file contains all required eligibility documents and meets compliance requirements
- Meet and / or exceed program benchmarks
- Participate in all staff-related events as required, including but not limited to training, staff meetings, and individual supervision
- Complete all required reports
- Approach each day and task with a "ZAG" mindset
- Other duties and projects as needed
The Ideal Qualifications for this Position Include :
Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1-2 years of work experience or a satisfactory equivalent of education and experienceStrong communication skills and knowledge about community resourcesPossess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make well-thought-out decisionsAble to work with and relate to participants and be culturally sensitiveMust be computer literate and have MS Applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills at minimum, and the ability to learn specialized databases and software systemsAbility to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base with the ability to be culturally sensitiveAbility to serve as a role model to customers and motivate them towards achieving goalsAbility to meet and / or exceed set goals and objectivesExcellent interpersonal, time management, customer service, organizational skills, and communication skills, both oral and written, requiredA Valid Driver's LicenseAdditional Skills / Knowledge Career Team Would Love for This Role :
