Schedule : Monday–Friday, 7 AM–4 PM
Rate : 45 / hr DOE
About the Role
We’re seeking a highly skilled and self-sufficient Field Service Technician to support our backup power systems across the Houston area. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical and electrical background, particularly in diesel-fired generators and Cummins equipment. You’ll be the face of our reliability team, ensuring our systems are always ready when our customers need them most.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and break / fix repairs on diesel and gaseous-fueled generators (primarily 500 kW Cummins units).
- Troubleshoot and repair generator systems, including : Deep Sea ControllersGenerac Gen Link monitoring systemsSwitchgear, relays, and PLCs
- Conduct monthly site inspections, fuel testing, and SPCC compliance checks.
- Respond to emergency outages and monitoring alarms outside regular hours.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Supervise third-party contractors and ensure safety compliance.
- Represent the company professionally in all customer interactions.
