Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Summary

Designs, develops, and maintains logistics-focused business metrics and reporting solutions using Power BI. Works closely with stakeholders to define KPIs, create dynamic dashboards, and provide actionable insights. Supports user adoption through training and communication.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops Power BI reports and dashboards based on operational KPIs.
• Collaborates with departments to define and refine metrics.
• Optimizes SQL queries and manages data models for reporting.
• Promotes and trains users on BI tools and dashboards.
• Customizes reports to department-specific needs.
• Supports logistics data analysis and insights.
• Collaborates on process improvement using data.
• Recommends predictive analytics / AI solutions.
• Maintains documentation and procedures.
• Coordinates with IT on system integration and support.
• Performs all other related duties as requested.

Minimum Education, Certification, Experience and Physical Requirements

Education and experience minimums can be substituted with any equivalent combination of training and experience

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

Experience

3 years in systems analytics and reporting

License

Valid Local Driver's License and Valid Passport

Travel

10% Travel to Tropical Shipping Port Locations

Physical

Office Environment - Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motion tasks on computer. Ability to sit 1 / 3 - 2 / 3 of day. Ability to travel in various modes of transportation ( automobile, airplane, train etc..) Occasionally exposed to outside elements during the course of traveling.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Proficiency in Power BI dashboard design

Strong SQL Server, data modeling, query optimization

Analytical thinking for logistics / supply chain KPIs

Clear communication and user training skills

Understanding of business processes and data visualization

Familiarity with AI techniques such as predictive analytics
