The mission of the Behavior Technician is to diligently execute treatment plan programs, as directed by a BCBA, to clients diagnosed with autism or related special needs in order for the clients to achieve mastery of behavior treatment goals. .

Job purpose
To work with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, and mental health disorders in a 1 : 1 in home or community based setting implementing ABA methods and procedures. Behavior Technicians receive individual and group supervision from Program Managers and BCBA's, as well as attend team meetings and scheduled training. Behavior Technicians will complete requirements to become Registered Behavior Technicians through the BACB and will be expected to obtain RBT certification within 90 days of employment.
Accomplishments and job duties
Assist the clients reaching their maximum potential in their daily lives.Collect and analyze data accurately following SLA's procedures.Organize and maintain their instructional area, conduct reinforcer assessments, and deliver reinforcement following principles as learned in initial and ongoing training sessions and based on feedback from supervisors.Maintain strict confidentiality, follow HIPAA guidelines, and maintain professionalism.Demonstrate accurate implementation of specific skills as taught in initial and ongoing training sessions and feedback from supervisors.Maintain designated client's electronic data and session note records.Implement crisis management as needed to support clients and implement specific behavior reduction procedures and behavior plans.Attend and participate in performance reviews given by the Program Manager.Receive and work towards goals developed by supervisory staff.Communicate and present yourself in a professional manner with coworkers, clients, and parents.Seek, receive and apply feedback appropriately and professionally.Dress appropriately and arrive on time for work.Complete all billing on a daily basis as well as client session notes.Attend all staff development days.Read and follow all company policy and procedures found in the employee handbook and other documents.Must be able to work afternoons and / or early evening hours.Complete coursework and extra training in order to obtain RBT certification within 90 days of employment (Refer to BACB website regarding process).Follow all other policies and procedures that do not fall under the above responsibilities.Skills and Educational Requirements
A Behavior Technician is required to have, at minimum, a high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least 40-hours' direct training which qualifies for RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification with the BACB.Adult and Pediatric CPR / BLS is required to be with clients one-on-one.Hi-5 ABA also requires multiple background checks to ensure the safety of clients at the cost of the employee prior to the first day of employment.Excellent communication, attendance, and professionalism.Disclaimer and Approvals
