Your responsibilities as an Oncology RN are comprehensive and impact every step of the patient journey. You will perform initial and ongoing patient assessments administer IV therapies including chemotherapy and monoclonal antibodies manage central lines monitor for infusion reactions and ensure timely delivery of medications in accordance with evidencebased protocols. You will lead symptom management infection prevention and supportive care including pain control nutrition guidance and psychosocial support for patients and families. Youll educate patients and caregivers about treatment plans potential side effects selfcare strategies and when to seek care while coordinating closely with oncologists surgical teams pharmacists social workers and palliative care specialists.
