About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief People and Culture Officer (CPCO) to lead the strategic direction of people practices and processes, with a focus on talent acquisition, development, and succession planning. The CPCO will be responsible for designing and implementing people initiatives that align with the organization's mission and values, particularly in the context of a multi-site, federated structure. This role requires a leader with a passionate commitment to the organization's purpose, who can drive a comprehensive set of strategies to attract, retain, and motivate top talent. The successful candidate will also be tasked with promoting a strong culture of collaboration, belonging, and community, and will serve as a liaison to the National Board of Directors' Governance, Compensation, and Nominating Committee.
Applicants for the CPCO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in HR, business management, or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred. A minimum of 10 years' experience in senior HR leadership, with a proven track record in leading people and culture strategies, is required. The role demands a visionary leader with the ability to influence without direct authority, outstanding interpersonal skills, and a strong business acumen. Experience in talent acquisition, compensation and benefits programs, and a background in nonprofit organizations are also preferred. The CPCO will be expected to lead organizational change management, and culture and leadership training, and to ensure that the workplace culture reflects the values and objectives of the organization.
