Position Summary :
The PA / NP will provide high-quality, patient-centered medical care in collaboration with the supervising physician(s). This role involves performing clinical assessments, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and delivering preventive care. The provider will work closely with clinic staff to ensure efficient patient flow and maintain high standards of care in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory work.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with state licensure regulations.
- Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, preventive health, and lifestyle modifications.
- Document patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Coordinate care with other healthcare providers, specialists, and ancillary services.
- Assist with minor office procedures as needed.
- Maintain compliance with all clinic protocols, quality standards, and applicable laws.
Qualifications :
Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.National certification (NCCPA for PA, national certifying body for NP specialty).Active DEA registration (or eligibility).CPR / BLS certification (ACLS preferred).Minimum 1–2 years of outpatient / primary care experience preferred (new graduates considered).Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Work Environment :
Private outpatient clinic setting.Typical schedule : weekday hours with occasional extended hours depending on patient volume.Patient population may include pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, depending on clinic specialty.
