About the role

The Server Assistant supports servers in the Onyx Bar & Lounge by handling tasks like clearing and resetting tables, assisting servers & bartenders, delivering food, and maintaining a clean dining area. They play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient service, often acting as a liaison between the front and back of the house.

What you will do :

Clearing used plates, glassware, and silverware, and resetting tables with clean linens and tableware.

Assisting with delivering food orders to tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation.

Refilling water glasses and beverages, stocking supplies, and assisting with other tasks as needed by servers or other staff. Assisting bartenders with glassware and polishing.

Greeting guests, providing menus, and ensuring a positive dining experience.

Keeping the dining area, service stations, and potentially the kitchen clean and organized.

Collaborating with other staff members to ensure efficient service and a positive work environment.

Friendly and attentive interaction with guests.

Clear and effective communication with both guests and team members.

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, especially during peak hours.

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.

Understanding of basic food safety procedures.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Ability to adjust to changing situations and demands in a fast-paced environment.
