Manufacturing Process Engineer

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Manufacturing Process Engineer located in Dallas, TX. Reporting to the OPEX Manager, the Manufacturing Process Engineer will oversee, identify, recommend, and deploy manufacturing and process flow activities and solutions to improve production efficiencies, capabilities, capacity, and scalability opportunities related to people, materials, equipment, and methods.

Responsibilities include :

  • Designing, creating, developing, providing, and driving Facility & Production Layouts & Process Flow (VSM), Time Standards & Motion Time Studies, Process Capacity & Resource Planning, and Efficiency Improvements.
  • Managing Lean / Six Sigma deployment projects and equipment optimization and automation while reviewing safety and quality standards.
  • Creating, developing, providing, or coordinating training, materials, and other educational tools.

What a typical day looks like :

  • Conducting research to develop new processes or improve existing processes for manufacturing and manufacturability.
  • Establishing safety procedures for new or updated manufacturing procedures and ensuring they align with quality requirements.
  • Developing methods for managing standard work and sustainable processes.
  • Designing and planning equipment layout for manufacturing operations.
  • Maximizing efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization; making recommendations for improvements.
  • Conducting tests and monitoring process performance throughout production.
  • Troubleshooting problems associated with manufacturing processes.
  • Evaluating processes and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Estimating production costs, efficiencies, capacity, and resource planning.
  • Determining the parts, equipment, and tools needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications.
  • Collecting and analyzing key performance indicator (KPI) data; making recommendations off findings.
  • Reviewing current production program equipment, hardware, and tooling; making recommendations for repairs or replacement.
  • Identifying and assisting with the implementation of cost-saving and safety initiatives.
  • Overseeing the development of new processes, methods, and production controls.
  • Preparing operations manuals for new or existing manufacturing processes; preparing and coordinating training as needed.
  • Maintaining knowledge of new and developing manufacturing technology, equipment, and applications; applying this knowledge to recommend and implement new technology and processes.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • The experience we're looking to add to our team :

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and / or related engineering field required.
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in a related capacity required.
  • Power / Utility experience preferred.
