Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Correctional Discipline : LPN / LVN Start Date : 12 / 15 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Job Title : Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - Days - Corrections Join our team as an LVN for day or night shifts in a Texas correctional facility, providing vital healthcare within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Responsibilities : Provide nursing care and administer medications. Perform IV therapy and collaborate with healthcare teams. Adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage tasks efficiently. Float between units within a 10-30 minute radius as needed. Schedule : Shifts : 4 AM - 4 PM. 36 / 48-hour weekly rotation with advance scheduling. Overtime opportunities based on performance. Qualifications : Valid Compact or Texas LVN license. BLS and IV Therapy Certification. 2 years LVN experience, 1 year in Acute Care or Med Surg required Experience in LTAC, ER, Skilled Nursing, or Psych is a plus. Ability to work independently in a correctional setting. Additional Information : COVID-19 vaccination required, exemptions accepted. Orientation provided after credentialing and state clearance. This role offers ongoing employment with potential extensions.
