Position Overview

We are seeking a licensed, full-time Physiatrist (PM&R physician) with a passion for treating patients who have sustained injuries related to work or motor vehicle accidents. This unique opportunity blends clinical expertise with the ability to provide comprehensive medical-legal evaluations and ongoing treatment. You will be working within a structured medical-legal framework, focusing on functional outcomes, causation, impairment, and permanency where appropriate.

Primary location : Lehigh Valley, PA

Travel : Occasional travel to satellite offices across Pennsylvania (e.g., Greater Philadelphia, Northeastern PA, and Central PA)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation evaluations for injured workers and accident victims
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that align with best practices and medical-legal requirements
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including chiropractors, physical therapists, and case managers
  • Document all findings with precision, providing detailed, defensible reports for use in Workers' Compensation and Personal Injury cases
  • Offer expert opinions on causation, impairment, and return-to-work readiness
  • Attend depositions and legal proceedings as needed (training / support provided if needed)

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with active Physiatry / PM&R board certification or board eligibility
  • Active Pennsylvania medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Strong interest or experience in the medical-legal field (Workers' Compensation and / or PI preferred)
  • Excellent clinical documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Prior experience with impairment ratings, FCEs, and deposition testimony is a plus (but not required)
