The Procurement Manager is responsible for overall procurement functions of the Procurement team and will plan, coordinate, and direct the activities of team members involved in their execution of assigned procurement responsibilities consistent with client requirements and specifications along with conformance to industry codes and standards. The Procurement Manager will conduct business in accordance with Cajun Industries’ Best Practices and Code of Ethics and will be an active participant in the continuous development of the safety culture at Cajun Industries.
Responsibilities

- Develop procurement strategies for the acquisition of goods and services in support of various industrial
construction and industrial engineering projects throughout the estimating and project execution stages
Maintains operational efficiencies by planning, directing, supervising, and monitoring the workload of theProcurement team
Routinely meets with suppliers to develop relationships and obtain information about market conditions that willaffect short and long-term pricing strategies and deliveries of goods and services
Sources new suppliers in an effort to expand Cajun’s supplier network as neededNegotiates and finalizes Terms and Conditions for standard purchase orders, prior to execution, with review,comment, and approval from Legal Counsel, Procurement Director, and Executive Stakeholders
Manages the onboarding process of new suppliers including the execution of contract termsManages the invoice processResolves disputes with suppliersMentor other members of the Procurement teamManages the Employee Growth Program (EGP) for members of the Procurement teamAssists in the execution of work at any level in the Procurement processAttends and participates in meetings as assignedOther duties as assignedQualifications
Experience
Minimum of ten years of relevant experience in Procurement required with six years of experience being in anIndustrial construction company and / or engineering firm
Experience in leading and developing a teamStrong negotiation and analytical skillsStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint,Education
High School Diploma (or equivalent) requiredBachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Construction Management, or related field from anaccredited college / university is preferred
