Estimated Weekly Salary : $2,250–$2,310 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of recent nursing experience in the Operating Room (OR RN experience required)

Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver professional nursing care to surgical patients using evidence-based practices and the nursing process

Perform all duties required by the surgical unit, specific to the scope of clinical service

Implement operating room procedures and maintain a safe, sterile environment

Accurately document all aspects of patient care and surgical procedures

Conduct initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans

Modify care plans based on ongoing evaluation and patient needs

Promote patient and staff safety by identifying and addressing potential hazards

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team

Collaborate with colleagues and provide constructive feedback to enhance clinical skills

Fulfill departmental competencies and participate in ongoing professional development
