Your Responsibilities :
Deliver occupational therapy services for adults and adolescents with head injuries, spinal cord injuries, chronic pain, orthopedic rehabilitation needs, and neurological behavioral issues as part of an interdisciplinary team.Conduct evaluations, suggest equipment purchases for patient discharge, create treatment plans, and maintain daily documentation. Coordinate external equipment as necessary.Develop comprehensive treatment plans focusing on basic and instrumental activities of daily living, home accessibility, adaptive equipment, upper extremity orthotic devices, visual assessment and treatment, pre-driving assessments, functional mobility training, community integration, and family education.Create and implement home exercise programs for long-term patients and train restorative aides.Familiarize yourself with departmental equipment and apply it according to consumer goals and needs.Work Schedule :
On-Call Position : Flexible hours available as needed, Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 a.m.-4 : 30 p.m.No weekend or holiday shifts required.Provide coverage during high demand or vacation periods.Qualifications :
NBCOT certification as an Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR) and at least a Bachelor's Degree.Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Michigan.2-3 years of experience with Neurological disorders, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, or Orthopedic injury preferred.Commitment to Inclusion :
