Job Summary :
Join a leading California electric utility in a key engineering role that supports the structural integrity of high-voltage transmission systems. You’ll lead critical infrastructure projects involving lattice towers and foundations, ensuring compliance with industry standards while mentoring junior engineers and supporting emergency restoration efforts. Key Responsibilities :
- Lead all Transmission line structural engineering tasks related to lattice towers and foundations
- Serve as SME in PLS Tower analysis and modeling of structures per ASCE / SCE standards
- Provide expertise in design / review of foundations (drilled shafts, direct embed, micro pile, grillage) using FAD Tools, hand calcs, or other software
- Perform structural load calculations per NESC, California General Order , and relevant codes
- Coordinate field efforts for construction support , inspections, and emergency responses
- Prepare engineering mitigation reports for damaged structures and footings
- Mentor and guide less experienced engineers; promote knowledge sharing
- Maintain QA / QC process adherence and site safety compliance
- Build effective working relationships with internal teams and stakeholders
Required Experience :
