CVOR RN Job Details

Location : Ann Arbor, Michigan 48109 (Michigan nursing jobs)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : January 12, 2026 – End : April 13, 2026)

Healthcare Setting : Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

Hours per Week : 40

Shift Options : Day shifts, 4x10-hour (06 : 30–16 : 00 or 12 : 00–22 : 30); rotating 2x8s and 2x12s (06 : 30–14 : 30 / 14 : 30–22 : 30 and 06 : 30–18 : 30 / 10 : 30–22 : 30); or 5x8s (06 : 30–14 : 30 / 14 : 30–22 : 30). Shift rotation required.

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2,750 – $2,820

Special Equipment : XI Robot

Flu Vaccination : Required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccination not required

CVOR Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Michigan RN license (required at submission; compact licenses not accepted)

Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR RN experience in a hospital or clinical setting

Scrub experience rated 3 or 4 on skills list

Certifications : BLS and ACLS required; CNOR preferred

Trauma Level I or II experience preferred

2 manager or supervisor references required

Ability to complete onsite orientation modules during first week

Flu vaccination required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccination not required

CVOR RN Responsibilities

Provide expert perioperative nursing care for adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries, including high-acuity and transplant cases

Scrub and circulate for procedures such as CABG, MVR, AVR, ECMO, heart and lung transplants, aortic aneurysm repairs, VATS, EVAR, and more

Participate in the unit’s flexible call program : 2–4 weeknight calls and 1–2 weekend calls per 4-week schedule; no call shift exceeds 12 hours

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Maintain strict adherence to infection control and universal healthcare protocols

Accurately document patient care in accordance with facility policies

Support and mentor less experienced nursing staff as needed
